We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, Category B men's prison and young offenders institution based in the Fazakerley are of Liverpool in Merseyside. Ideal applicants would be experienced general practitioners who have previous prescribed for and supporting patients with substance misuse needs. HMP Altcourse it a fast paced environment you will be working closely with a full multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.

Hours

This is a bank role with flexibility to work shifts between 8am-9.30pm.

Salary

This position is a bank role on an hourly rate of £85 per hour.

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
