Endoscopy Decontamination Tech with Health Support Worker duties

As a Health Care Assistant in our Portsmouth Endoscopy team you’ll be responsible for assisting the nursing team with patient care, administration, stock control and equipment maintenance. Working as part of a team to maintain the supply of Decontaminated Endoscopes and Nasoendoscopes for the Endoscopy department and Out Patient Department which is essential for the safety of patients under the organisations care.

Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.

Having already achieved your NVQ level 2, there will be plenty of further learning opportunities including internal and external training modules. It would be an advantage if you have worked in a Hospital before. More important though is your flexibility, your knowledge of infection control, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
