Medical Director

Working closely with the General Manager and Head of Clinical Services, you’ll also be central to operational and strategic decision-making, helping us evolve our services to meet the needs of the local population.

You will also be responsible for –

• Providing visible, accessible leadership to a skilled and diverse clinical team
• Driving high-quality, patient-focused services through innovation and inclusive collaboration
• Supporting the development of integrated, cohesive care across multiple disciplines
• Playing a key role in group-wide initiatives to enhance clinical governance and standards
• Shaping the strategic direction of the service in response to local population needs
• Contributing expert medical input to business planning, performance management and new service development
• Ensuring the medical team complies with governance standards, policies, and procedures
• Representing the centre at national forums, sharing best practice and fostering cross-site collaboration
• Building strong working relationships with other Hospital Medical Directors, Clinical Directors, and senior leaders across Practice Plus Group

You will be a qualified doctor licensed by the GMC and on the Specialist Register with;

• Significant senior clinical leadership experience, ideally in both NHS and private sector settings
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and influence multi-disciplinary clinical teams
• A proactive and strategic mindset with excellent planning, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and business planning
• Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• A collaborative, open style of leadership with a passion for developing others
• Ideally, the ability to maintain some clinical practice as part of your role
