You as a Bank Physiotherapy Assistant, will be supporting the Physiotherapists in the treatment of patients and with supervision will be responsible for working on your own patient caseload.
You will be monitoring patient progress, reporting any issues to the qualified Physiotherapist. In addition, working with the Physiotherapist, you may need to alter were required and progress individual patient treatment plans, always ensuring the appropriate pathways of care and communication are being met.
You’ll be providing treatment to patients identifying particulars such as; range of movement, strength and additional care needs. You be offering advice, guidance and instructions to our patients, their families or carers as well as some professionals and trainees.
You will be conscious of health, safety and hygiene aspects in the treatment areas and physiotherapy equipment are clean, fit for purpose reporting any issues to the appropriate member of staff. You’ll assist with the management of stock and equipment, ensuring good levels and ordering when appropriate, pre-empting any shortfalls.
As one of our Bank - Physiotherapy Assistants you will be degree qualified in a Sport Therapy (or equivalent degree) or an under graduate within Physiotherapy.
This position will require you to have an empathetic, as a Physiotherapy Assistant you will be a driver of motivation, persuasion and reassurance aiding that patient’s positivity and treatment.
Strong communication skills will be key, both written and verbal. You will be communicating daily with a wide range of people both internal and external, updating documentation and patent files.
Ability to work as part of an effective team playing your part to deliver the best patient care you can.
