Practice Plus Group are looking for Paediatric Doctors to join a team of well established, experienced senior clinicians working across the Devon Integrated Care System (ICS) to assist in the development of new models for service delivery that have a positive impact on the health economy.

Alongside GPs and ACPs, you will consult with paediatric patients in primary care centres (PCC) face to face that present with urgent and unscheduled care needs. You will work within your sphere of competency to provide assessment of patients, plan their care, administer treatment and discharge them or refer as appropriate to other healthcare professionals / external agencies. This will include prescribing for patients as required.

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get.
