About The Role

We are looking for an Driver to join our growing team at the Devon Out of Hours (OOH) service on a Part Time Permanent basis. 

The Devon OOH service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed.

The OOH service operates throughout a number of locations within Devon so occasional travel may be required, however your main base will be in our St Leonards Practice in Exeter.

Within this job will cover our Driver position to which you will chauffeur GPs and nurses to and from patients’ homes – typically when they’re unable to see their usual clinician. This is not an emergency service and you will need to follow the normal rules of the road. It will be part of your role to ensure the safety of our clinicians and medical equipment, so you may be asked to escort them to the patient’s front door. You’ll also be expected to keep vehicles appropriately maintained.
