About The Role

Practice Plus Group are seeking a Pharmacy Lead for our Devon IUC and Clinical Assessment Service.

As the Pharmacy Lead, you will be responsible for the pharmacy provision within the Clinical assessment Service  for Devon. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing quality, evidence-based health care to meet the needs of the patient.

You will take an active role across-disciplinary, multi-skilled team to ensure service quality is in line with corporate goals and strategy and to assist in development of new models of care for service delivery that have a positive impact on the health economy.

Working closely with the Regional Manager and Medical Lead, Clinical Lead and the wider team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the service meets the contractual obligations.

You will deal with organising the review of PGDs and liaise with the ICB around review and sign off.  You will also be responsible for writing and reviewing medicines policies, monitoring prescribing within the service and responding for responding to complaints relating to medicines. You will line manage pharmacist colleagues working in Devon IUC service.

You will provide safe and effective telephone advice about medicines and pharmaceutical care to clinicians and patients accessing the Devon  IUC service. You will assist the clinical team in assessing and managing referrals related to issues such as repeat prescription requestsmedication queries and Health Information.

This roles is a Permanent, Part time position working one full day, 7.5 hours per week.
