We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Pentonville, a category B remand Prison located in Islington close to Caledonian Road Station. The site houses around 1180 male patients aged 18+, many of whom have complex health needs and have previously been disconnected from the healthcare system. Ideal applicants will be passionate about working with disadvantaged patients and feel confident working in a busy every changing environment supporting with primary care, substance misuse and mental health needs.

Hours

Sessions take place between 9am and 10pm Monday to Friday

Salary

This position is a bank role with a salary of £90 per hour

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
