We have an exciting opportunity for 2 General Practitioners to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh. HMP Belmarsh is a category A Prison located in South East London, close to Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations. The prison houses around 675 patients with a variety of needs include complex physical and mental health. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team including 2 other permanent 2 GP's providing excellent clinical care and treatment. Ideal applicants will have previous experience within a secure setting or with substance misuse prescribing.

Hours

Monday - 3 sessions 9am-10pm

Tuesday - 1 session to be work either 9am-12pm, 1pm-5pm, 6pm-10pm

Wednesday- 1 session to be work either 9am-12pm,1pm-5pm, 6pm-10pm

Friday - 3 sessions 9am-10pm

Saturday - 2 sessions 10am-1pm and 2pm - 6pm

Salary

This role has a salary of up to £134,680 FTE per annum depending on experience

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
