As a Pharmacy Technician in the Medicines Management team, you will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs.
Within this role, you will be an integral member of the Medicines Management team, which forms part of the wider cluster of Healthcare Services. Practice Plus Group policies and procedures and statutory frameworks governing patient care in a prison setting, will be used in order to deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.
HMP New Hall is a Closed Category prison for female adults located in Flockton, West Yorkshire. The site consist of departments offering healthcare support across primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, psychology & psychiatry, opticians, podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and a management and admin function. Within your role you will be joining a large pharmacy team which is motivated to achieving the very best in health in justice. The team are integrated and work closely as an MDT to achieve the best outcomes for their patient group. HMP New Hall pride themselves in supporting the workforce to develop their skillset. Staff members receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal to explore their existing skillset and look at how the site can support them further within their role to develop. The site is accessible via a bus route from surrounding towns and has secure free staff parking available 24 hours a day. We operate 7 days a week and offer a flexible rolling rota for our pharmacy technicians, the weekend commitment is one weekend in four weeks.
This is a bank role with a salary of £20.22 per hour.
