About The Role

Have you thought about working within prison healthcare?
Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work - if you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is it!

The role will require the individual to work as part of a team by providing support to our patients, aiding their recovery and rehabilitation. You will maximise opportunities to interact with patients on a frequent and persistent basis, ensuring that facets of the agreed skills plan are implemented each day. You will support patients through crisis situations which are sometimes manifested by challenging behaviour and adopt a positive approach.

As Recovery Worker, you will offer advice, support, and practical assistance in all areas affecting their wellbeing, in line with agreed support plans. This will include participating in daily 1:1 sessions and group work.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a confident individual who can regularly facilitate group interventions to the service users. This is essential to the role and service which regularly provides group dynamic programmes.
