What do we need from you so you can do the job?

You will be required to support the delivery of Pharmacy Services which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs. Working on the prison wings, you can expect to be involved in everything from medicine management, administering medications, patient counselling, medicines reconciliation etc.

HMP Winchester is a Category B men’s prison for those on remand to local courts. With an operational capacity of 690, HMP Winchester is based in Winchester, Hampshire; by car, it’s approximately 20 minutes from Eastleigh, 25 minutes from Southampton, 30 minutes from Andover, Basingstoke, and Newbury. On foot, it’s a 20-minute walk from Winchester town centre and 15 minutes walk from Winchester train station.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week including weekend working, preferably alternate weekends though will consider applications for 1 in 4.
