Within NHS 111 and integrated urgent care there are a number of opportunities to develop both clinically and non-clinically and as our service grows, we are always offering support to those who want to take that next step and develop their career.
All NHS 111 call handlers are required to complete a number of NHS Pathways and NHS 111 service specific courses in order to be a licensed operator working within the live service. To train to be a highly trained advisor you will need to be committed to attend one of our training dates (full paid).
The full-time programmes runs over a four week period whilst the part-time training runs over a six week period.
Our next training dates available are:
- Saturday 15th July - Part Time - Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) Tues, Weds, Thurs (5pm-9.30pm) for 6 weeks
- Monday 7th August - Full Time - Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:00pm) for 4 weeks
- Saturday 19th August - Part Time - Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) Tues, Weds, Thurs (5pm-9.30pm) for 6 weeks
Once you’ve completed your training, you can join the team full or part-time on a variety of shift patterns, including nights to suit your life balance from our extensive shift catalogue, offering contracts between 16 – 38.5 hours per week. We can also offer early morning or twilight start times, were individuals can choose your fixed shift (you will need to pick up either a Saturday or Sunday shift in addition)
What you will get:
- £10.91 per hour– daytime and during training (07:00-23:00)
- £13.56 per hour – contractual night rate (23:00-07:00)
- £14.03 per hour – weekend night rate (23:00-07:00)
