Medical Director

You will also be responsible for –

• Ensuring staff receive timely and regular communications and involved and engaged in the delivery of clinical services.
• Ensure the continuous development of high quality, innovative care.
• Support a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined and diverse workforce to work as a cohesive operational group delivering first class treatment to patients.
• Support the integration of the clinical operations with those of the other Practice Plus Group centres, contributing to the enhancement of clinical standards generally across the group, and ensuring that the medical staff at the site maintain compliance with Practice Plus Group hospitals policies and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the business by identifying and responding to local population needs.
• Provide medical opinion and advice to support business decision making.
• Participate in strategic decision making as an integral member of the Senior Management Team working with the General Manager and local Head of Clinical Services.
• Work collaboratively with other Hospital Medical Directors, Speciality Clinical Directors and Secondary Care Medical Director to ensure that Practice Plus Group and national objectives are met.
• Attend and contribute to the regular organisational meetings with other Medical and Clinical Directors.

You will be a qualified doctor licensed by the GMC and on the Specialist Register with;

• Previous senior management experience in the private sector or NHS
• truly inspirational leadership capabilities
• excellent communication and team-working skills
• a willingness to challenge the quo and eagerness to embrace new ways of working
• a sharp mind and an exceptionally organised approach
• ideally specialist clinical knowledge that enables you to continue practising within the hospital
• Experience of management of budgets and business planning

What you can expect in return

• Annual salary of £130,000 - £150,000 depending on experience and clinical commitment
