About The Role

General Practitioner (GP)

Perhaps you want to broaden your clinical experience as part of a portfolio career. Perhaps you need the freedom of more flexible hours. When you join the multidisciplinary team in our Warwickshire Out Of Hours (OOH) service, you’re back in control.

This is the perfect chance to use and develop all your skills and expertise as a General Practitioner, providing diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals to other healthcare resources, via primary care centres and home visits. You will also use our electronic prescribing system to effectively  manage the patient.

You’ll be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a lead clinician in a multi-skilled team that includes advanced nurse practitioners, registered nurses, UCPs, mental health and dental nurses, prescribing pharmacists and pharmacy advisors.

We are proud of our strong, stable infrastructure that ensures clinical safety and provides senior-level clinical support throughout evenings, nights and weekends. You’ll be able to keep your skills up to date with a CPD programme – and can expect education and training tailored to your needs and future plans. We work closely with the NHS to provide opportunities to learn, innovate and contribute new ideas. In addition to our bespoke Learning Management System, we offer discounted national update/clinical topic refreshers, support to become a supervisor/GP registrar trainer, plus a host of regional and national career development opportunities.

About You

To be considered for this role, you need to:
  • Be on the GMC Register
  • Be on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT
  • Experience & confidence in managing acute and chronic presentations for both adult and paediatric patients.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
