As a Nursing Associate, you will be providing skilled, person - centred nursing care to people experiencing mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities, and delivering planned care and treatment interventions under the supervision of a registered mental health nurse. You will work alongside other registered healthcare professionals to provide recovery and solution-focused care, which is informed by what matters to them. Throughout this position, you will deliver non-judgmental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the delivery of therapeutic interventions in group and 1:1 sessions within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks. You will make a real difference as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice Competency Framework following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

 

About You

You will be a qualified Nursing Associate who can demonstrate entry to the NMC register with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing as some of your responsibilities will include mental health clinics, group and 1:1 interventions and supporting peer-led initiatives. You may have lived experience of mental health

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £30,660 per annum - depending on experience.

About Us

HMP Wakefield is a category A men’s Prison located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The site currently offers a 24 hour service and have shifts patterns across these hours
