About The Role


We're looking for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our healthcare department at HMP Bullingdon. This will mean working inside the prison, within healthcare and on the prison wings. HMP Bullingdon is a local Prison holding both remanded and sentenced prisoners. HMP Bullingdon also accommodates young adults between the ages of 18-21.


As a Senior Nurse you will work as part of an integrated healthcare team, utilising your clinical expertise, decision making and problem solving skills to provide skilled and evidence based nursing care for patients in the prison. You will work within your scope of practice, in accordance with company and prison service policies and procedures in line with the NMC Code of professional conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwives.

You'll be responsible for leading and developing a team providing clinical supervision to all staff.

Are you new to prison healthcare?
Do not worry... you will be supported and mentored throughout your first 6 months with Practice Plus Group by experienced teams of highly skilled nurses and practitioners as well as management.

About You


You will be a Registered Nurse (Adult), looking to develop your current skills in a unique and ever changing environment.


You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services. Prison Healthcare experience is not essential although we do ask that you have experience within a primary care setting.
