This role is a multi-functional role. As well as working as part of the Yorkshire & NW regional team, leading on the delivery of integrated, safe, high quality and effective pharmacy services across the region. You will provide aspirational professional leadership for regional pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy assistants providing expert advice and guidance, promoting best practice in medication use on sites, embedding clinical supervision and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and statutory frame works. You'll be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service. As part of the Regional Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations. The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners. 



About You

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team. You’ll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £56,000 per annum - depending on experience.

About Us

This role will be working across Yorkshire and the North West Region supporting pharmacy teams in 10 prison sites. This will also include working across HMP Moorland, HMP Hatfield/Lakes and HMP Lindholme leading the sites medicines management processes.

You will also work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.
