About The Role

ADD TO LIFE. EVERY LIFE
Where making a difference changes lives

Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work. If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing managerial skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this could be the opportunity for you.

As a Deputy Head of Healthcare with Practice Plus Group you will be responsible for partnering with the Head of Healthcare for the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the site. As well as support the management of all service level agreements, ensuring performance-monitoring standards are adhered to and the highest standards of care are maintained.

As a member of the wider management team in HMP Dovegate you will be responsible for providing the day to day clinical and operational management of our diverse healthcare teams within National and Local Guidance.

You will be able to provide evidence of your leadership ability and will have undertaken management training, with an understanding of clinical governance and staff management. You will have an awareness of risk assessment and managing budgets. The role would ideally suit an individual who is passionate about delivering and driving forward high standards of care and service delivery and has the ability to promote and inspire the workforce though robust clinical supervision and professional development.

About You

Ideally you will be a registered adult or mental health nurse with experience of working in custodial or secure setting, but this is not essential.

Interested in professional development?

We have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and your career, which include both internal and external options for development and learning and access to our apprenticeship schemes.

How will we support you?

  • Company pension scheme
  • 25 days annual leave increasing with service up to 28 days per year, plus public bank holidays
  • An extensive range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits
