About The Role

ADD TO LIFE. EVERY LIFE.

WHEN IT MATTERS

We are looking for an experienced clinical lead to provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams. As the lead you will implement the pathway that creates a smooth pathway for our patients back into
the community or transferred to another establishment. You will be expected to work collaboratively with release teams in the prison along with outside organisations. You will oversee the management of assessments of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care, for the prison population, including clinical risk assessment.

There will be an expectation for the post holder to lead/contribute to clinical and consumer audits. You'll be responsible to the Head of Healthcare, to ensure the management of the service meets its contractual obligations.

Practice Plus Group were recently awarded the healthcare contract at HMP Belmarsh and will begin delivering services in June 2023. We are the Health in Justice Market leader, providing healthcare services to offenders across the country. Our model of care is our Wellbeing Approach – an integrated, comprehensive approach in recognition of the fact prisoners are a socially-excluded group with healthcare needs which are complex and often associated with poor outcomes. It adopts the premise no single health/wellbeing factor can be taken in isolation of other motivational issues which might impact a person’s care.

About You

As a Clinical Lead for the release and transfer team, you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team by bringing your top-notch skills, passion for care, and leadership to the role. Your role will consist of holding a complex case release meeting and attending prison release meetings and for complex transfers make sure that an adequate handover has been given. You will also work alongside the Mental Health Clinical Lead to deliver a seamless service for our patients.

How will we support you?

• Bespoke induction
• Competency framework
• Regional and national career development opportunities
• Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs
• Support from the wider team

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,000 per annum - dependent on experience. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: cycle to work scheme, free uniform, an extensive training and development structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme.

It doesn’t stop there… we also offer a company pension scheme which we as Practice Plus Group also pay into, 25 days annual leave increasing with service up to 28 days per year, plus 8 public bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), NHS blue light card, discounted Costco memberships, access to Boundless memberships for attractions and parks, shopping discounts, free eye tests for computer screen users, an 24/7 employee assistance helpline and financial assistance when you need it.
