Looking for a different way to make the most of your experience and potential? Moving into our 111 call centre environment in Ipswich could provide an improved work/life balance and a better chance to do your best work.
As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it.
This is an opportunity to build on your nursing or paramedic experience and to continue to deliver outstanding patient care – without the physical strain of acute work. As a Paramedic Advisor supporting our 111 call centre operations, you’ll be a key part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality, evidence-based healthcare.
Calls will be directed to you from our 111 health advisors when clinical support is needed. Using a combination of your expertise and the NHS Pathways triage tool, you’ll ensure the patient receives the most appropriate treatment. Although these are not emergency calls, you may need to deal with emotional, distressing or life-threatening scenarios and to arrange for 999 services if required.
Extensive, paid training is offered. Our two training options: full-time Mon-Fri (9am-5pm) for six weeks; or part-time Tues, Weds, Thurs (6pm-9.30pm) and Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) for nine weeks.
