About The Role

The Reception Team Lead will be expected to be part of the Reception team, taking the leadership for reception and ward clerks whilst ensuring the KPIs are delivered, staff feel motivated and their contributions valued. The role will be over a 5 day working week to include approximately one Saturday per month. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week

 

Keys Tasks and Results:

You will act as first point of contact for the reception team, the duties of the role include -

Support the delivery of exceptional standards to all patients and colleagues, Manage reception environment and patient flow, Build and retain good rapport with all other departments within the Hospital by promoting effective communication across all departments, Line management of staff directly within the team and any bank staff that report to you and to organise and supervise all roles related to the policies and procedures to ensure smooth running of the team.
 
Also To prioritise own day to day workload, Monitor annual leave and staff sickness ensuring minimum staffing levels are met, Compile monthly rotas for teams, ensuring business needs are met, Carrying out staff appraisals, performance management and disciplinary investigations, Overseeing recruitment of staff, training and induction, Handling and responding to queries and complaints and Ensure all KPI’s are monitored and met by the team.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good sense of humour who has line management experience in a patient facing role.  The candidate will need to be confident, resourceful, and calm under pressure, with the ability to work autonomously.

The role demands excellent prioritisation, organisation and computer skills.  You will need to be strong on delivering excellent service and driving efficiency to ensure our patients receive the highest standards of care.  This is a busy and varied role that requires a keen eye for detail and desire to support a team to be the best they can.
