About The Role

Are you looking to work within a service that offers and promotes outstanding care to its patients?

If the answer is yes, then we are looking to recruit flexible, enthusiastic individuals to work in our prison healthcare service at HMP Wormwood Scrubs. This is a full time role, working 10 sessions a week, for 40 hours.



What will you be doing?

As part of this role, you will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. You will be pivotal in engaging the clinical workforce to support the delivery of the organisation’s objectives, and will have the chance to further develop your clinical and medical skills.

About You

We recognise training and development is key, therefore we provide a training portal to facilitate your needs as well as have an in-depth induction for all staff whether you have experience of working in prisons or not. You will gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards your RCGP level 2 and other qualifications should you wish.

We offer an annual salary of up to £130,000 per annum (pro rata for part time applications) plus payment of MDU/MPS subscription and CPD days. If you are looking for portfolio work or cross site working, we can offer this on a temporary or permanent basis with the opportunities of extra shifts and overtime also.
