About The Role

As a Deputy Head of Healthcare you will deputise for the Head of Healthcare in all aspects of their role. You will be in partnership with the Head of Healthcare for the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the prisons. 

Practice Plus Group operate as an integrated team approach to peer support and standardisation of practice. Our aim within Health in Justice is to work in partnership with staff and colleagues to offer high quality healthcare services to best support the residents. As a member of the management team at HMYOI Werrington you will be responsible for providing the day to day clinical and operational management of our healthcare teams.

You will have a clinical qualification, be able to provide evidence of your leadership ability and will have undertaken management training, with an understanding of clinical governance and staff management. You will have an awareness of risk assessment and managing budgets.

The role would ideally suit a resilient, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering and driving forward high standards of care and service delivery and has the ability to promote and inspire the workforce though robust clinical supervision and professional development.
