An opportunity has arisen to join our multidisciplinary medical team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth at an incredibly exciting time as we launch our brand new ophthalmology cataract service.

About You

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard whether NHS or privately funded. Reporting to our Hospital Medical Director you will provide ophthalmic services, performing a range of ophthalmology procedures. You will be required to demonstrate a high level of operative skills in some of the following areas:

High volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia
Occuloplastics

 You will participate in pre-operative assessment in outpatients prior to surgery and in all aspects of the operative care of patients. In a combination of outpatient assessment, administrative, management and clinical governance duties, you will work closely with clinical colleagues in order to enhance the level of patient care.

You will be a UK registered medical professional, with a listing on the Specialist GMC register.
