As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, you’ll be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top-notch clinical skills and passion for care. With plenty of primary care experience, you could be involved in anything from undertaking a wide variety of screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. The main focus of this role will be to provide quality screening and assessment with the early days in the custody patient cohort.

About You

You will be a Registered General Nurse (Adult) looking to develop your current skills in a unique and ever changing environment. You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services. Prison Healthcare experience is not essential although we do ask that you have experience within primary care.
 
You’ll receive an annual salary up to £47,400 per annum - depending on experience. 2 year Golden Hello (£2,000 in Year 1 of service and £1,500 in Year 2 of service - conditions apply). About Us

Practice Plus Group is a specialist provider of NHS services into prison healthcare across over 45 different prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. The prison population is one of the most vulnerable and challenged patient groups in society and the delivery of their health care is conducted within often difficult and demanding environments.

HMP Winchester is a category B men’s prison for those on remand to local courts, with an operational capacity of 690.
