We have an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team at HMPWealstun.

HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Thorp Arch in West Yorkshire. Which is based 30 minute from Leeds, and 5 minutes from the A1 just off Boston Spa. Working shift patterns cover a variety of hours between 7.30am – 5.30pm. The site currently has departments for Mental Health, Substance misuse, Primary care and admin.

We are seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician with excellent attention to detail to work within our healthcare team.

Based in HMP Wealstun, you will have the opportunity to make a difference to the health, well-being and rehabilitation of offenders within the establishment. You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
You will have experience  of leading and managing a team and a strong focus on continuous improvement for processes and procedures.

You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) to be considered for this role. You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.

You will have experience in leading and managing a team and a strong focus on continuous improvement for processes and procedures. You’ll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!
