With a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC, you will need to be empathetic and willing to learn and develop your skills. Experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll be able to manage your caseload and apply an application of OT theory in the treatment of patients in an inpatient setting. An understanding of common medical, surgical and neurological conditions is also required.
You’ll have a good understanding of health and safety, along with exemplary record-keeping skills. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team, you’ll show plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations or seeking advice/direction should you find yourself in a situation with no prior knowledge.
Beyond that, you should have a flexible approach and the ability to achieve changing priorities by managing your own time.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hour per week, with a salary of up to £39,026 per annum depending on experience. Within this role you will be working across all of the sites within our South Yorkshire cluster which are HMP YOI Moorland, HMP YOI Doncaster, HMP Lindholme and HMP Hatfield.
