About The Role

This role brings a great opportunity to embrace change and embed culture. Fulfilling role of Occupational Therapist will be an experience like no other, requiring a diverse and mixed Occupational Therapy background. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable health care needs. Reviewing care and therapy interventions will be a key aspect of the role.

We offer high quality treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. You can expect to be involved in all aspects of the care planning approach for clients within your caseload. Multi-partner working is essential so the right level of communication and team working skills are essential as well as excellent record keeping skills to ensure that you maintain accurate records and provide the kind of helpful, empathetic support that will make every patient feel at ease.

About You

With a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC, you will need to be empathetic and willing to learn and develop your skills. Experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll be able to manage your caseload and apply an application of OT theory in the treatment of patients in an inpatient setting. An understanding of common medical, surgical and neurological conditions is also required.

You’ll have a good understanding of health and safety, along with exemplary record-keeping skills. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team, you’ll show plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations or seeking advice/direction should you find yourself in a situation with no prior knowledge.

Beyond that, you should have a flexible approach and the ability to achieve changing priorities by managing your own time.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hour per week, with a salary of up to £39,026 per annum depending on experience. Within this role you will be working across all of the sites within our South Yorkshire cluster which are HMP YOI Moorland, HMP YOI Doncaster, HMP Lindholme and HMP Hatfield.
