It adopts the premise no single health/wellbeing factor can be taken in isolation of other motivational issues which might impact a person’s care.
To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP New Hall we are looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to support us and the existing team.
HMP New Hall is a Closed Category prison for female adults, juveniles and young offenders located in Flockton, West Yorkshire.
The site consist of departments offering healthcare support across primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, psychology & psychiatry, opticians, podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and a management and admin function.
Within your role you will be joining a large team which is motivated to achieving the very best in health in justice. The team are integrated and work closely as an MDT to achieve the best outcomes for their patient group. Staff have the opportunity to be innovative and lead on key areas such as BBV, health promotion and long term conditions.
HMP New Hall pride themselves in supporting the workforce to develop their skillset. Staff members receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal to explore their existing skillset and look at how the site can support them further within their role to develop. This includes ad hoc training, university or college courses and prescribing courses where appropriate.
