About The Role

Have you ever wanted to play your part in an exciting service that really makes a difference to everyone’s lives? As a key member of our 111 team in Stockley Park, Uxbridge you’ll be doing just that.

Our new offices in Stockley Park have a café on the site, and there are also lots of options within the business park for lunches! If you are travelling using public transport, we are a 25 minute walk away from Hayes & Hillingdon tube station or a 10 minute bus journey away, and if you are driving we also have plenty of parking available on site too!

This is your chance to be a Health Advisor in our contact centre, handling calls from members of the public. You’ll learn how to use a state-of-the-art triage tool called NHS Pathways to assess patients over the phone and direct them to the most appropriate care. You’ll also need to be prepared to deal with emotional, distressing or life-threatening scenarios.

The extensive training equips you with valuable skills and includes assessments.

Full-time - Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) for four weeks;

Part-time -  Tues, Weds, Thurs (6pm-10pm) and Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) for five weeks.

You must attend every training day. Which is followed by a further eight weeks’ support before you are signed off to work on your own.

PLEASE NOTE - there are assessments and call audits to pass during and after your training before you commence your role.

UPCOMING TRAINING COURSES;

24th June - Full Time Course
22nd July - Full Time Course
27th July - Part Time Course

Working hours/shifts -

We offer enhanced pay rates for weekends, we are offering part-time weekend roles from 16 - 24 hours per week to cover our core shifts and assist patients when they most need us. Other current available hours are weekdays from 15:00 to 20:00.

Please note: If you require hours of more than 24 hours per week, including full-time roles (37.5 hours), we may be able to accommodate you if you are happy to work more weekend hours (this may mean working every weekend and taking days off during the week).

Should you be offered an interview with us following your screening process, there may be the opportunity for you to listen to live patient calls to gain a thorough understanding of this role and what your day to day would like – this could mean your interview may last up 3 hours - please note this is not part of the selection process and is solely intended for you to gain understanding of the role and see what it is like to work as a Health Advisor.
