To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP Bullingdon we’re looking for an Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. You'll be carrying out general administrative duties within the healthcare department of the prison. Working within set routines, policies, and procedures to provide a comprehensive high-quality service to the unit, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff inquiries.

You'll contribute to the delivery of administration services, providing administrative support to the healthcare team. The role will include working within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases/waiting lists/call-up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning, faxing etc.  A key responsibility is collecting and collating accurate service performance data for internal and external reporting requirements.
The situation in the prison can change at any minute. You need to be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and follow instructions diligently.

It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best practice possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team. You'll need to be confident in a prison setting as the office will be based in Healthcare, off a prison wing.

This is a part-time role, working 37.5 hours a week. Site can flexible on the working pattern between Monday-Friday.

About You


An experienced Administrator with demonstrable customer care skills, you'll have previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team. This role will see you using your proven skills in data entry and report running, word processing, office routines and procedures; with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner. Experience of using Systm1 is highly advantageous. 

This is a part-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is up to £22,159 FTE - dependent on experience.
