What will you  be doing?
 

As the Head of Substance Misuse will provide leadership to all substance misuse practitioners (both clinical and non-clinical / psycho-social) in order to consistently develop high quality, safe and cost effective substance misuse services for patients.

The Head Substance Misuse will provide leadership to our Substance Misuse services, supporting the network of Substance Misuse leads. You’ll provide professional and clinical leadership and development to substance misuse services; model best practice and work with the National Training Manager to ensure appropriate training of all staff involved in the care of patients within this highly complex setting
 
You will also provide expert input into subcontractor management of substance misuse services.

About You

In order for you to be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate the below:
  • Educated to Degree Level 
  • Proven experience working at a senior level within substance misuse services
  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of approaches to the management and support of people with substance misuse problems
  • Experience of facilitating change across other professions and organisations to produce innovative practice and service development showing improved patient outcomes
  • Evidence of continued professional development-reviewing current practice and research developments within specialist area and application to clinical practice.

A competitive salary of up to £55,000 – dependent on experience, contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave rising up to 28 days depending on service per annum plus Bank Holidays, entrance into the annual bonus scheme and a £6,000 car allowance.
