As a Senior Mental Health Nurse in our integrated mental health team you will be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients’ mental health needs within the Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services. Prison Healthcare experience is not essential although we do ask that you have experience within primary care.
Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre is a detentions centre located next to Heathrow Airport in Harmondsworth, London Borough of Hillingdon. It is the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents – mainly adult males, however it does house some adult female detainees.
