About The Role

Are you an expert pharmaceutical leader with a track record of system leadership, quality improvement and development of services?
 
We have a tremendous opportunity for an adept pharmaceutical leader to join our team as the Chief Pharmacist for Secondary Care.
 
Our secondary care service line runs a number of hospitals and surgical centres, offering diagnostics and elective surgery to NHS, self-pay and private patients. 
 
 
In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership support, management and providing guidance on all aspects of Secondary Care Pharmaceutical services of Practice Plus Group. This includes the development and implementation of strategic plans for pharmaceutical services and acting as the individual on all Home Office licences. You will provide expert and professional advice at a very senior level for senior managers, management boards, prescribers and committees. Moreover, you will provide professional support and accountability to Pharmacists across all of our Secondary Care services. 
 
 
 
 

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic, well organised, agile and resilient pharmaceutical leader. You will have either a vocational masters degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent), at least one year of pre-registration training and experience and hold a current professional registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council. In addition, you will have expert knowledge of the law relating to pharmacy services and medicines management issues. You will have extensive experience as a senior grade pharmacist and have amassed knowledge of risk management, health and safety, NHS priorities and professional and technical knowledge of hospital pharmacy services.
