About The Role

As Recovery Worker, you will offer advice, support, and practical assistance in all areas affecting their wellbeing, in line with agreed support plans. This will include participating in daily 1:1 sessions and group work.
 
The role will require the individual to work as part of a team by providing support to our patients, aiding their recovery and rehabilitation. You will maximise opportunities to interact with patients on a frequent and persistent basis, ensuring that facets of the agreed skills plan are implemented each day. You will support patients through crisis situations which are sometimes manifested by challenging behaviour and adopt a positive approach.
 
To be successful in this role you will need to be a confident individual who can regularly facilitate group interventions to the service users. This is essential to the role and service which regularly provides group dynamic programmes.
 
In return for your hard work you will
Receive an annual salary of up to £27,000 FTE (dependent on experience).

About You

What do we need from you so you can do the job?
• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Experience of working within mental health services is desirable but not essential.

Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre is a detention centre based in the grounds of Gatwick Airport, Crawley, West Sussex and we are looking for and Substance Misuse Practitioner to join our team.

Prisons are a community like any other and we offer all of the health services any community needs in one place and with a single team. These range from reception health checks on arrival and regular GP services, to help with substance misuse, mental health, chronic or long-term conditions, podiatry, physiotherapy and optometry.

At Gatwick IRC we deliver a 24/7 service although working hours do vary to provide overall support.
 
Please note this is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, Mon - Sun on a rotational basis.

To complete the CTC check you will need to have worked in the UK, consistently for 5 years, with no more than an employment gap of 28 days.
