Surgical First Assistant

As part of the multi-disciplinary team the Surgical First Assistant (SFA) is responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care given to patients with in the peri-operative phase of surgery,  to meet the standards required by the Company in providing a high quality service to patients.

• Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
• Surgical First Assistant Qualification
• 2+ years experience working in Theatres as a Scrub Practitioner
• Post Basic Theatre Course, Teaching and Assessing Course and awarness of Clinical Governance are desirable.
