About The Role

As the Clinical Lead and a member of the wider management team, you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the primary care team across an integrated healthcare service, contributing to the strategic direction of the service. You will support your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options, and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team.

There will be an expectation for the post holder to lead/contribute to clinical and consumer audits. You'll be responsible to the Head of Healthcare, to ensure the management of the service meets its contractual obligations.

This includes ensuring all operational and clinical data requirements on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are submitted within agreed deadlines and that KPI data is utilised to manage the performance of the team.

HMP Wakefield is a category A men’s Prison located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The site currently offers a 24 hour service and have shifts patterns across these hours. The departments on site include Mental Health, Primary Care, In-patients, Pharmacy, Recovery and Inclusion & Admin.

The site has a friendly supportive team with a number of senior clinicians, and are able to offer a number of training opportunities both within the organisation and externally. This in turn creates opportunities for internal promotion.

All Staff also have access to onsite parking

About You

You will be a qualified Registered General Nurse with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. Management experience is a necessary requirement for the role.

If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!

 

Salary and Benefits…

The salary range is up to £48,330 per annum - dependent on experience. This is a full-time vacancy, working 37.5 hour per week. We welcome informal visits to the prison but these must be booked in advance, please contact Wendy for more information.
