About The Role

Have you ever thought about working within a prison?

Working as a Bank Paramedic offers you flexibility and workplace variety. You would also be assisting the wider permanent team, covering for planned and unplanned absences.

We’re looking for a Bank Paramedic, who thrives on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting - performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.

You’ll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the Wings/ blocks.

You will be a qualified Paramedic with current HCPC registration with proven experience in either, Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, or Minor injuries/illness an environment.

About You

With the ability to think on your feet and a flexible attitude, you’ll be a qualified paramedic with current HCPC registration and ALS/ATLS/PALS qualification for Paramedics. Capable of demonstrating initiative, you’ll have proven experience of post-registration experience in any of the following clinical areas: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, Minor Injuries / Illness Units.

This is a bank role w
orking shift patterns covering a variety of hours between 07:45 – 18:15. The site has departments for Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance misuse and a Registered Pharmacy.
The pay rate is up to £19.73 per hour.
