About the Job...

HMP YOI Moorland is a category C men's prison and Young Offenders Institution based in Hatfield, South Yorkshire. The site offers a range of healthcare services including Physical Health, Mental Health, Pharmacy and Substance Misuse.

The 9-bed specialist Intermediate Care & Reablement Service is opening early 2022 based at HMP Moorland.

As a member of the senior clinical team working within the Secure Prison Estate, the post holder will work alongside the Head of Healthcare and the Deputy Head of Healthcare and other healthcare managers to jointly take responsibility for the management and delivery of high quality responsive intermediate care service within the prison setting, providing an holistic approach to delivery of care to provide assessment, outcome planning and support for patients whose needs are complex and/or unstable and ensure all care is given in line with Local and National Guidelines such as; NICE, GSF, Practice Plus Group policies and Standard Operating Procedures and prison service instructions.

Salary and Benefits…

The salary range is up to £51,668 per annum - dependent on experience. This is a full-time vacancy, working 37.5 hour per week. We welcome informal visits to the prison but these must be booked in advance, please contact Claire Welch for more information.

About You

About You

You will be a qualified Registered General Nurse with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. Management experience is a requirement for the role.
If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!
