Practice Plus Group provide the Out of Hours (OOH) service across Gloucestershire. The OOH service is an appointment based service that is accessed via the national NHS 111 service. Patients are assessed via the 111 team and if it’s clinically appropriate, they will get referred on to our OOH service. This will lead to either a face-to-face appointment in one of our primary care centres, or a home visit by one of our clinicians.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Multi-skilled Service Support Staff to join the Gloucestershire Out of Hours (OOH) service on a bank basis, picking up shifts when it suits your lifestyle.
This is a Bank contract to work as an when required including nights and weekends
Pay Rates
Weekday - 0800-2359 - £11.48
Weekday - 0000-0759 - £16.07
Weekend - 0800-2359 - £12.28
Weekend - 0000-0759 - £17.23
The role will be working out of GL2 8DN, covering Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cinderford, Cirencester, Stroud and Moreton-in-Marsh.

Reception Job Summary:
As a receptionist, you will prepare and open a centre for patients and doctors arrival, whilst ensuring patients are seen in a professional manner following Practice Plus Group guidelines. You will also undertake a receptionist role to the doctor and patients, and enter data onto the IT system.
Driver Job Summary:
You will be required to chauffeur visiting clinicians to and from home visits/PCC sites within the Practice Plus Group operating area. This is an essential service not an emergency service and therefore drivers do not have special priorities over other road users. Drivers must carry out all driving duties in a safe and legal manner ensuring that the vehicle is driven and passengers are carried in full compliance with current driving regulation and codes principally the Road Traffic Act and the Highway Code. A clean driving license is preferred.
Co-ordinator Assistant Job Summary:
You will be assisting the coordinator with the administration process for patients, including calling patients to arrange appointment times at their nearest Primary Care centre. You will also be supporting the Coordinators and Call Centre Supervisor in achieving performance levels. Building and maintaining relationships with the management team, GP’s, community services and other healthcare providers and external suppliers. Managing shifts appropriately by analysing and identifying pressure points using call volume and staffing levels.
