In this varied and influential role, you will be:
- Leading and managing the onsite pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and trainees.
- Driving the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused pharmacy services in line with national standards.
- Leading on pharmaceutical aspects of new service mobilisation and hospital development projects.
- Embedding innovative models of care, including virtual pharmacy reviews and peri-operative pharmacy services.
- Overseeing governance, medicines management, and audit programmes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Acting as the senior clinical pharmacy expert, providing advice to consultants, clinicians, and patients.
- Representing pharmacy at senior management level and contributing to strategic planning, cost improvement programmes, and digital transformation projects.
- Developing and mentoring staff, supporting credentialing, and fostering advanced practice opportunities.
We’re looking for an inspiring pharmacy leader with a passion for clinical excellence, service innovation and outstanding patient care.
You will bring:
- Senior experience within hospital or primary care pharmacy, with a strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Be confident in clinical governance, medicines safety, audit and service development, and able to interpret complex clinical and operational data to drive improvement.
- An excellent communicator who can influence stakeholders and work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Master’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- GPhC registration
- Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification
- Independent Prescribing qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
