Senior Learning Disability Nurse

• You will have responsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour, within the criminal justice setting
• You will be working with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system
• You will be working with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake person centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning and co-ordination of positive non aversive behavioural approaches to service users

Qualifications required

• Current NMC registration - Learning Disability Nurse
• Working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
• Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
• Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills including risk assessment
  

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
