About The Role

To provide high quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients with both primary care and acute care needs in a health in justice (HIJ)setting. The post holder will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

This role requires a Registered Paramedic to work as part of a team of primary care staff delivering care to patients both within the Healthcare Centres and on the Wings/House blocks within a HIJ setting.

The role requires the post holder to work autonomously within the sphere of professional competency, supporting less experienced members of staff. Post holder must be able to assess patients, plan care, administer treatment, discharge or refer them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals / external agencies.

The HMP sites are clinical facilities which require an individual to have the ability to work effectively as part of a multi professional team within a fast pace environment, in line with the protocols and policies of the local Service and PPG including professional bodies.

This permanent role is offering a salary of £28,000 to £32,000 DOE and 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days plus 8 public bank holidays.

About You

With the ability to think on your feet and a flexible attitude, you’ll be a qualified paramedic with current HCPC registration. Capable of demonstrating initiative, you’ll have proven post-registration experience in any of these following clinical areas: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments, Minor Injuries / Illness Units.
