About The Role

If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding Emergency Technician role in an environment where no two days are the same then this could be the new role for you!

As an Emergency Care Technician (ETC) at HMP Exeter, your responsibilities will vary. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you can expect to deliver high-quality care ranging from monitoring of long-term conditions, health promotion, and screening and responding to emergencies. You will also work collaboratively with the Healthcare Team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of Local and National Policies and Procedures.
 
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £30,900 per annum pro-rata – dependent on experience.

Travel allowance of £780 (paid in monthly instalments pro-rata.

About You

You will hold either Edexcel/IHCD training programme, or equivalent (BTEC level 3 Ambulance Aid or equivalent qualifications. You must also have relevant experience such as responding in a community setting.

HMP YOI Exeter is an adult/young offenders institution accepting males ages 18 and over; with an operational capacity of 550+. It accepts all adult and young offenders committed to prison by the courts from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset & West Somerset.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours across the week including nights.

At HMP Exeter we deliver a 24/7 care and working hours vary to provide overall support.

The working hours consist of:

Day – 07:30 - 17:30

Late – 13:15 - 21:15

Early – 07:30 - 15:30

Night – 21:00 – 07:45
