About The Role

As a healthcare organisation we encourage all colleagues to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Therefore, this role may be subject to the legal requirement to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Are you an experienced GP wanting to make a difference outside of your standard duties?

If so, being a Clinical Navigator at our North West London CAS service may be the role for you!

We have an exciting opportunity to further your career, where you will have the opportunity to provide effective clinical leadership and management of the IUC Clinical Advisors as well as manage the clinical aspect of the IUC contact centre whilst on shift.

You will be providing clinical advice and direction to staff, whilst also participating in safe and appropriate triage of patients contacting NHS 111 IUC. You will demonstrate clinically appropriate decision making in supporting staff, whilst maintaining the communication link between operational staff and other managers/supervisors, and ensuring the new service operates to the highest of standards by providing full inductions and training for new staff, and guiding them through their professional development.

This is a position of key responsibility for the effective delivery of Practice Plus Group's IUC services.

This will be a full time salaried role, working 37.5 hours per week, however if you are looking to join Bank or SEMP, we could be open to considering these options.

About the Job
The CAS service is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The skill mix within the service are made up of ANPs and GPs, incorporating urgent care with telephone triage & consultations

You would work as part of this mix consulting patients and providing clinical support to the other working clinicians as required. In times of demand they would help to assess and manage the clinical queue by highlighting the cases in need of priority assessment.

About You

You will be an experienced GP with GMC Registration and on the National Performers List.

You will have experience working with patients of all ages, and the ability to assess both chronic and acute conditions.

An understanding of the IUC Clinical Advisor and Health Advisor roles is integral to the role, as is a sound understanding of the legal/professional implications of independent practice.

You will have management and clinical leadership experience and consider yourself a problem solver and decision maker. Not only do you take pride in your high standard of care, but you will also be passionate in helping the wider team.
