About The Role

Practice Plus Group are seeking an experienced Locality Manager for our Devon OOH and IUC (Integrated Urgent Care) service!

This will be a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work 60% of your role In Hours and 40% of your role Out Of Hours.

As the Locality Manager, you will be a key member of Devon OOH Management Team with direct line management for Drivers and Operational Assistants, within their Locality of responsibility. Your specific locality you will manage will be Okehampton and Branstaple

 

You will be given direct line management for a given operational team including the support and coaching of staff in relation to all quality, performance, development and welfare issues. You will also cover any training requirement needs for Clinical and Operational staff in the use of IT Systems and any other Practice Plus protocols and processes.

 

Other duties will include having control of Risk and Heath & Safety assessment whilst managing the risk and issues identified. Managing Asset Register for the locations within the area of given responsibility, ensuring new equipment is registered and obsolete equipment removed. Additionally you will undertake full filed inspections to ensure CQC compliance in your area and to ensure that patients requiring face to face consultation receive booked treatment centre appointments or home visit if required

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Geographical knowledge of Devon/Somerset
  • Knowledge of the IUCS Key Performance Indicators.
  • Evidence of continuing education and development.
  • Ability to evidence a sound understanding of the NHS principles and values.
  • Able to understand and analyse complex issues and balance competing priorities in order to make difficult decisions.
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
