About The Role

Have you thought about working within prison healthcare?

As a Healthcare assistant you will work predominately in our planned care team. You will be wing based and support Pharmacy technicians in administration of medications. You will also be responsible for interventions on your wing such as taking bloods, vaccinating, completing assessments and referrals and triaging healthcare applications. As part of this role, you will take an active role in conducting various National Health Screening Programmes such as Hepatitis Elimination, and Bowel Screening.
 
You will have the ability to develop interests in areas that are important to you and provide a varied healthcare service to our patients. You will also work across substance misuse services and provide care and assessment to those undergoing detox for drug and alcohol. There may also be an opportunity to be involved in social care of patients when required.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £28,000 per annum - dependent on experience. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: cycle to work scheme, free DBS check, free uniform, an extensive training and development structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme.
