About The Role

Have you thought about working within prison healthcare?

We expect that you can demonstrate your clinical understanding and skills and how you’ll use this to support prisoners. Your role will complement the IMHT by supporting and enhancing the psychological care of prisoners covered by Practice Plus Group Mental Health Team; providing psychological assessment, developing clinical formulations and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified applied psychologist. Testimonial

When choosing to accept a job with PPG it was really important to me that  I picked a company that would help me progress towards my career goals – a place on the DClinPsy. On reflection I don’t think I could have picked a better organisation for this. PPG have provided a nurturing environment which encouraged and supported me every step of the way. The forensic setting provides unique challenges and opportunities to work with complex cases which, with plenty of clinical supervision and support, accelerated my development and allowed me to learn the necessary clinical skills, research skills and knowledge base essential for the DClinPsy. Supervision also gave me the opportunity to develop an awareness of myself and to reflect on my own personal struggles and barriers which were holding me back from progressing in my career. I am now really proud to now be accepting a place on the DClinPsy this year and I have PPG to thank for this.
