Principal Activities – Clinical
- Be aware of NHS England and Prison service policies and protocols and use these to support the delivery of nursing care to prisoners. Contribute ideas to help formulate and update policies with the healthcare service.
- Undertake segregation rounds to ensure that all prisoners are fit for segregated conditions
- Undertake inpatient rounds to ensure the needs of the patient are being met within the unit
- Complete and maintain care plans for men in inpatients and the segregation unit.
- Review prisoners to ensure they are meeting all their physical and mental health needs including LTC reviews.
- Attend Assessment, Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) reviews of any patients who are located within the CSRU and/or inpatient unit.
- Attend complex case conferences to discuss any complex patients.
- Attend local mental health team meeting to liaise and contribute in regards to any men you are concerned about.
- Organise and implement clinics/appointments for the men located within the segregation unit
- Attend admission to segregation boards (R45) which are held weekly for men
- Undertake clinics to meet the needs of the population
- Administration of medication

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,973 per annum - depending on experience
