About The Role

As Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for HMP Oakwood you will have direct patient contact to ensure medicines management is robustly delivered in a safe and secure environment. Supervising a small team of technicians and assistants within a prison setting.

Pharmacy Technician Supervisor duties include overseeing the team and being involved in completing the following:

  • Administering medications during morning and evening meds rounds located on the residential units of the establishment.
  • Supporting the Medicine Management Lead at HMP Oakwood
  • Stock management and ordering of medications.
  • Actioning patient prescription requests.
  • Assisting in medication review clinics.
  • Liaising with internal and external providers for positive patient outcomes.
  • Conduct ‘spot-checks’ to ensure patient compliance with medications in their possession.
  • Carry out medication reconciliations for all new patients to HMP Oakwood.
  • Investigating any missed medications.
  • HR tasks and people management.

About You

You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) to be considered for this role. You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.

This is a full time role.

Various shift work, hours include 0700-1730 Mon-Fri. 0730-1730 Weekends/bank holidays.
